The Finer part of Insanity.

When do you cross over the line that seperates the brilliant from the insane? Is there a clear view of the line in question? Can we be certain that such a line would be straight? Would a person who could evaluate this line have to be insane, so as to see it? Once crossed can a person return to the other side again?
The thought that a real genius may be seen as insane sparks several questions. What is genius? What is Insanity? Do the two overlap at some point? Does a brain at some point tire of being smarter than the rest and therefore implode leaving only a shell which is then viewed as insane?

Do you think insanity is sanity for some?

Normalcy is a suspect word, in that it attempts to define a state of being that is somehow the average position.  Yet you must have a relevant position to base normalcy from. It begs to be challenged, to be questioned as to its position.

When we live in a society where the average US citizen can not calculate effect of spending greater funds than they are making. When the average US citizen uses less then 10,000 words to define their daily existence. When the average US citizen has not traveled outside the USA. When the average US citizen speaks only English. When the average education is some college. When the grade of "D" is a passing grade high schoolers. We should not hesitate to question the idea of normalcy in these United States of American in which we live.

Can the student understand the mind of the master builder without the master builder providing guidance?

So the question produces itself again. What is Genius?
